Blushbook

Blushbook was an invite-only native iOS app created to provide women with a trusted space to discover, discuss, and curate beauty products and techniques. The vision was to blend the familiarity of social platforms with purposeful product discovery and personal organization — transforming inspiration into action.

As Art Director and UI/UX Designer, I led the visual direction and designed the end-to-end user experience. I developed the brand’s visual language, established the design system, and crafted an intuitive interface that balanced social engagement with utility. My focus was on creating a refined, modern aesthetic that felt aspirational yet approachable.

The platform allowed users to create profiles, follow others, and form private groups to share recommendations within smaller communities. Members could post content with comments and likes, save products and techniques to their personalized “Book,” and build “Your Bag” — a virtual purse showcasing their essential beauty staples.

From information architecture to interaction design, I focused on making complex functionality feel seamless. The experience was designed to encourage exploration while maintaining clarity and ease of use — ensuring that discovery, curation, and social connection felt effortless within a cohesive, thoughtfully branded ecosystem.
